Are there any gay-friendly fraternities at Penn State?

I am a senior in high school, and I before i select which college i hope to attend, I yearn to make sure it is gay friendly because i am openly same-sex attracted. I know that Penn State was recently listed as a top 10 gay friendly college but what about greek life? Since i was a freshman i have always been interested in greek life and i intend to rush a fraternity when i start in fall 2014. Many people keep telling me not to because of my sexuality and feel it is something i shouldn't proceed to do, however, I have met many guys in fraternities who told me its about brotherhood and that sexuality doesn't matter. I grasp Penn State has Delta Lambda Phi, but i would like to own more options to analyze before i decide where i would like to rush. So my closing question follows. Are lgbtq+ people common at Penn (are there are lot of gay people that are open about it) ? Is penn a gay-friendly community?

Doesn’t appear to be many. I’ve only seen a few gay’s. They weren’t dressed prefer women, but I’m certain they were gay. Now to be honest with you, they’ll be the least of your problems if you come here. Personally, I don’t think anyone really cares to be gay-friendly or not, so if that’s your preference you should be alright.

Yea but stats state that 10% of men are male lover (if the stats are true) so that would intend that like hundreds of gay people at penn.
Not that I loathing gays; I’m a female and I find gay friends to be really fun to be around. I was just wondering if they’d be effortless to find, appreciate if there’s a lot of homosexual guys that are out compared to other colleges.

South Asians react to Kal Penn coming out as gay

"One of us." That's what LGBT South Asians are saying after US star Kal Penn, star of the Harold & Kumar film franchise, came out as gay on Sunday.

Mr Penn, 44, told People magazine that he has been in a relationship with his partner Josh for 11 years and the pair are now engaged.

The New Jersey native said he had "always been very public" with those in his personal life.

Mr Penn shares how they met in his modern memoir You Can't Be Serious.

Born Kalpen Suresh Modi, Mr Penn is best known for playing Kumar Patel in the Harold & Kumar buddy stoner comedy franchise.

His other credits include famous TV shows like House, Designated Survivor and How I Met Your Mother.

Mr Penn also briefly worked in the White Property Office of Public Engagement under President Barack Obama, from 2009-11.

The BBC asked Mr Penn during a Reddit Q&A what it was like working for a president who at that show had still not come out in favour of gay marriage.
