NCIS: Hawai’i’s Kacy is Just Like Any Other Couple – And That’s Why They Work

In the film, Anderson stars as Peyton, a would-be scribe whose parents scamper Camp Evergreen, a summer camp she attended as a teen, where Christmas in July is a big deal. With their impending retirement, and the camp's sale, Peyton heads home for one last hurrah and a 15-year reunion with some of her former fellow camp counselors. While she's thrilled to reunite with old friends favor now-married camp sweethearts Janice (Caitlyn Stryker) and Dave (Matt Hamilton), current Broadway star Beckett (Jeffrey Bowyer-Chapman) and star Chris (Alec Santos, pictured below with Bowyer-Chapman), the possibility her ex-boyfriend Thomas (Corbin Bleu, pictured at top with Anderson), now a school teacher, attending causes a difficulty. After high academy he broke her heart, so unless Peyton can consent go of her resentment, and Thomas his regrets, an encounter could be the downer that ruins both their campfire Christmas.

"The thing that I loved about this movie is that it's a story about second chances told through the collective of every character," Anderson explained.

Talking to Cinema Blend about the series one termination, Anderson said: "Oh my gosh, I was so happy! You know, I think it was such a tumultuous journey.

"There were ups and then downs, and then more downs, and then valleys.

"So it was really nice to end on a lofty note. I think that Kate learned a lot about communication throughout the season, and honesty.

"Watching her grow was a tribute that I didn't expect.

"When you go into a show, you don't really know what your character's arc is going to be, and I was very pleasantly surprised and very happy and thrilled that at the terminate of the day, they got back together, because can you imagine how disappointing it would be if they didn't? It just would be heartbreaking. So I was very happy."

NCIS Hawaii returns for the NCIS crossover exceptional on Monday, January 9, 2023, on CBS in the USA. A UK release date hasn't been announced.
