If any of you turn into a Disney Imagineer, please make a LGBT bar! The drink around the world event during homosexual day orlando was a great time. You couldn't even find a place to stand inside any of the bars at EPCOT.
My fav bars in WDW:
1. Mizner's Lounge - hushed , comfy and right off the monorail in the GF.
2. Planet Hollywood - fun, great meal and inside DTD.
3. Dawa Bar - outdoor, very casual, good beer and drinks, smoking section and it's in Africa of the animal kingdom.
They had one, it was called Mannequins Dance Palace. Unfortunately the fool who closed it is now headed over to ABD to wreck havoc.
After Orlando, Gay Bars Will Never Perceive as Safe as They Once Did
On Friday night, love most Friday nights, I went to a gay block. My partner, who I met there seven years ago, came too, along with four of our closest queer friends. We piled into a banquette, our arms instinctively wrapping around one another to generate the best apply of limited cosmos. We smiled as other friends—bar regulars like us—stepped through the door, trading streetlamp dullness for disco ball splendor. We kissed them, sometimes on the lips, and shouted stupid sassy greetings over the dated pop playlist. We tipped the queenly queens, a minute extra because it’s Pride. I drank too many “gay strength” gin-and-tonics, I got very drunk, and I danced—happily, lasciviously, recklessly—with my people until three in the morning. To say that I went home afterward is misleading: I was already there.
On Friday late hours, we felt defended , confident in the still-rare sense of total freedom—from corrupt eyes, from family friendly etiquette, from people who might want to execute us—that this vacuum, the gay lock, afforded.
On Saturday overnight, that confidence was broken.
The worst mass shooting in American history just happened at a gay block in

Popular bar for LGBT at Springs / City Walk?
I am hearing some terrible news on facebook: Parliament House is said to be closing its doors for good this Sunday after the Halloween weekend celebrations.
This place has been an institution for 45 years, and was my favorite local haunt to see for Gay Days. There was always a big display on the stage over the pool (I've seen Sandra Bernhard, Miz Cracker, Asia O'Hara, Aquaria, Peppermint and more there). I enjoyed it because it was truly something for everyone: indoor dance floor, outdoor dance floor, more chill bar areas, stage shows, a seedy motel (and during gay days lots of booths from various retailers, and a "foam party" enclosure I always had to laugh at b/c there were only maybe 2-3 ppl in at a time and the foam would always be blowing out of the enclosure! haha) And you could always grab a walk to the lake in back and conclude your night with a peaceful conversation looking out over the water. Apparently the staff was only recently informed and told to keep things still so as not to distract from Halloween, which is a huge cash maker each year. Kind of a shady thing to do when closing down such an establish
