Gay walking dead characters

I have been a fan of zombies for years now, something that started because of the Resident Evil game series. This is why I started to watch AMC’s The Walking Dead, a TV show based on the comics of the similar name. One of the main characters in the show is fan-favorite Daryl Dixon (Norman Reedus), and recently Robert Kirkman made a statement about the crossbow wielding survivor’s sexuality.

The question about Daryl’s sexuality was asked about in a fan letter for The Walking Dead #130. In the letter, the fan drew parallels between Daryl and Jesus. For those of you who don’t know, Jesus is quite a tough nature in the comic manual series and he’s also gay. He appeared in issue 91 and his sexuality was revealed in issue 122. The readers were quite surprised because of the reveal, and I appreciate that Kirkman decided to do it this way. It really tells readers not to take everything at meet value and immediately believe a character is vertical because their sexuality isn’t stated when they form their first appearance. It’s similar to what Slap the Floor did nearby the end of Season 2.

Just like Jesus, authentic name Paul Monroe, Daryl’s sexuality hasn’t been mentioned in the TV series eit

The Walking Dead Telltale games feature several homosexual characters. Walter (also known as Walt) is an first character in the series, and had a boyfriend named Matthew. Zachary (also known as Zach) also formerly had a boyfriend, named Jonas.

In The Walking Dead: A Modern Frontier, Javier can flirt with Jesus. It was confirmed by lead scribe, Adam Esquenazi Douglas, that Javier is bisexual.

In The Walking Dead: The Concluding Season, Clementine can pursue a association with a young man named Louis, a girl named Violet, or neither. Though they are the only romance options in the game, Clem has the option to arrange another girl, Ruby, and two other guys, into whatever positions she likes in a game of 'marry-fuck-kill'. Violet is a woman-loving woman, who has amorous history with a woman called Minerva (or Minnie).

Introducing Gay Characters? ****SPOILERS****
I don't know about the comics, but AMC's TWD had the womxn loving womxn characters and from my playthrough it appears Telltale's version is as well. It didn't outright say it but there was that close photograph of Walter and Matthew (or Matt as only he referred to him as). Also, Walter referred to Matthew as his "partner" when talking to Clementime after dinner. I don't know what Matthew did but Walter said he was a teacher and I haven't heard of teacher partners, just things like law partners or business partners (like Nick and Luke). So is this the case or am I just reading too much into this? I guess we'll never know for sure ****SPOILER**** since they were both killed unless Kenny or Sarita fills us in later (which is a shame because Lee and Kenny had some good/funny interactions with Kenny's hickish assumptions due to Lee's race and that pattern could of been repeated).

Aaron and Eric Originate in The Comic Book

Aaron and Eric appear in the comics, as members of the Alexandria Safe Zone, a community Rick's crew joins in the books. When asked about the partnership, Ross Marquand who plays Aaron says:

We really did our best to create a backstory for these two men. It's not expressly laid out in the comics how long they've known each other. Did they comprehend each other before the apocalypse began? We wanted to think they did. We thought it was a stronger choice that they had known each other before everything went to hell. It's a really endearing love story that way, that these two men had bonded beforehand and then stuck together and protected each other throughout this really tough time in human history. It's not unlike any other relationship—there's fights that occur, there's small squabbles about how to approach a group. "Should we approach this group? What do you think of these people? Can we trust them?" There's going to be disagreements. It was enormously helpful to discuss that with each other before we shot any of those scenes.
