If you watch Gold Rush on the Discovery Channel, you're probably familiar with Todd Hoffman’s 18-year-old son Hunter Hoffman. He just recently started working for the family business, and fans contain been eager to learn more about him. In particular, viewers have questions about his girlfriend, blonde beauty Bri Ramseth (sorry, ladies, he is taken).

From the looks of her Instagram, the couple has been dating since 2015, and even went to prom together! The pair appear super happy and Bri has even posted pics of herself in mining gear, crediting her boyfriend for the new look, of course. “Hunter is teaching me how to be as cool as him,” she wrote in a caption. “Photo Creds obviously depart out to the guy himself.”

Hunter recently opened up to Monsters and Critics about active with his family in the mining business. “This is an insane summer for me,” he said. “This is one of our longest seasons we’ve ever mined. And we really just kind of earth it out, and it gets really, really tough at some points. Especially for me. Just being more in the spotlight, given more responsibility, trying to run my own crew.”

Father vs. Son! Todd Hoffman and Son Hunter "Butt Heads" in 'Hoffman Family Gold' (EXCLUSIVE)

Gold mining in the unforgivable state of Alaska presents many miners with a slew of challenges and battles they must endure to thrive. But for Todd Hoffman, one obstacle that he didn't foresee is competing against his own son Hunter to see who can mine the most gold from the profession site.

Season 2 of Hoffman Family Gold has given way to a storyline of father versus son as the two family members are no longer working together to mine the biggest gold score of the season. Hunter has decided to leave and run his own team — hoping to outdo his elderly man.

Things are heating up between father and son in Alaska’s Mammoth Valley on Hoffman Family Gold  halfway through season 2. Todd and his son Hunter are running separate plants at the mine work site, which brings a small competition. Despite existence on separate sides, the crews are united by the same ultimate target of uncovering 1,000 ounces of gold. That’s easier said than done as they’ve only only accumulated 284 ounces so far.

However, with Todd’s Holy Roller and Hunter’s Black Pearl running simultaneously, the teams may obtain a collective boost.  As seen in this exclusive TV Insider clip, Stalker looks to receive a step ahead of Dad by working into the night. He runs his Black Pearl for 12 hours, but things acquire a little dicey when a damaged waterline shuts the operation down. “I wasn’t paying attention… We just got in a speed, and I made a mistake,” Seeker admitted.

Ultimately, Hunter deposit a costly 3-foot-long puncture in the pipe that feeds the plant. A plant that happens to need moisture to process gold, pumps to the trommel through a long pipe. Signify
