Neil newbon gay

A while back, Neil Newbon confirmed on one of his streams that Astarion is Pansexual.

So this is why it bothers me seeing fandom say things like "Astarion just feels like a gay man!" and "I just can't picture Astarion with a woman" because like... Astarion is still a gay man. It's been outright confirmed by his voice actor. And his queerness and his attraction to men isn't diminished by the fact that he can also be romanced by female characters. Duplicate after me: Pansexuality is an lgbt identity in it's own right and not just gay person lite.™

And I think an important aspect to Astarion's sexuality is the truth that the writers made his relationship with both men and women part of his backstory. It's a stark contrast to Dragon Age 2 support in 2011 where Ander's past relationship with Karl was completely omitted from his dialogue if he was romance by a female Hawke. The unfortunate implications here being that bioware didn't think their female player base would still wanna romance Anders if he had past relationship with men. That to make Anders palatable to a straight-girl audience, all traces of his bisexuality had to be erased.

Astarion's Pansexuality doesn't change d

Baldur's Gate 3 - Voice of Astarion

The voice of Baldur's Gate 3's Astarion talks TTRPGs, storytelling, and the glamourous 'fury and the wrath' of playing vampires

Neil Newbon has plenty of well-wishes for the community, as Astarion takes his post-launch bow on the digital stage.

Neil Newbon, the voice behind my favourite trash-fire vampire from Baldur's Gate 3 - a nature I've gone to great lengths to defend in the past--sat down with me last week to talk about his experience playing Astarion.

We chatted about Astarion's appearance on the front of PC Gamer, his long-standing admire of tabletop, and vampires. And while he has a deep affection of those creatures of the night, he also holds a preference that took me off-guard.

That's a minor footnote, though--what mainly stood out to me was his boundless appreciation for gaming, the tabletop hobby, and the people who helped him get here--here's a few choice moments from our chat on all things vampire.

PC Gamer, Baldur's Gate 3, and the industry
While Newbon's known as the voice of everyone's favourite dramatic vampire spawn, he also played Karl Heisenberg in Resident Evil: Village, and he's brought his vo

Question for people that don't like the characters...
Are you just being picky or there are legitimate reasons for not liking them?

The only reason I would genuinelly don't like characters is because they are "woke" propaganda... many Path Finder KM characters are appreciate that but I can just neglect them or cure them like trash lmao, or just kick them of my game...

But I want to recognize what are the people reasons to not liking the characters.

The very pretty idiot Astarion.
The topic's title is how 'Stephen Rooney' sees his personality, who's also the writer for Fane as well.

My intent was to share some behind the scenes stuff that I start, which you can all identify somewhere 'down by the river' lol. No seriously that's where you have to go, since that's what their youtube channel is called. 🏞️

^ The glance of Astarion mostly came from the concept artist,, so Stephen didn't have much input on that. (He also thought how Astarion looked younger then what he imagined, & was too "smooth.")

Stephen had the visual of an aging rockstar, that coincidently looked like Astarion's voice actor? He said how Neil Newbon looks more like Astarion then Astarion does... which is one thing he'd change if he had Swen's power.

Did you perceive Stephen''s original idea of Astarion was to have like a "Medieval Deadpool?" Maybe modders will dress his character as one, where he even looks favor Neil Newbon too? They could make all of his dreams come true,, or maybe it will become a nightmare? 😱

Stephen said that naming things is one of his biggest weaknesses, &
